Evaluation in Interaction: The Pragmatic Approach to Artistic Judgement

The aim of this paper is to discuss the pragmatic approach studying artistic evaluation. engages with recent literature and examines current trends in research on amateur expert judgement, arguing that scholarship has much offer sociology art culture. It demonstrates growth qualitative inspired by interpretivist approaches symbolic interactionism, highlighting main areas researchers’ interest, such as (1) (Social) interaction between evaluators objects, or (2) Pragmatic rules situational character This also identifies gaps provides directions for future research.
